I looked long and hard for a buckling that checked all the boxes on my wishlist and Bodacious brings it all! Both his dam and sire’s dam are EEEE 92 does who have milked more than 1300 lbs in a lactation. He is backed by does with Excellent udders and general appearance who have some of the best production in the breed.
His dam is the new all time breed leader in butterfat, the beautiful SG Better Wayz Harmony Carabear 3*M EEEE 92. Harmony has been an ADGA Elite doe in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023. In addition to being a powerhouse milker producing 1,350 lbs and a 3F, Harmony has exceptional conformation. As a four year old, she scored 36 in Fore Udder, 38 in Rear Udder Heigh and 35 in Rump width. She also consistently scores “V” in shoulder assembly which is an area that Nigerians as a breed are working to improve.
Bodacious’s sire’s dam, SG Better Wayz Isabelle 3*M EEEE 92, is also a powerhouse milker and has made the top 10 list for butterfat multiple times and has been an ADGA Elite doe in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023. As a third freshener she milked 1,390 lbs and was first place in butterfat production for the breed. As a three year old, she scored 38 in Fore Udder, 38 in Rear Udder Heigh and 38 in Rump width.
