Bucks of this caliber are not easy to find and we are lucky to be able to add Ziggzag to our herd. Ziggzag is correct and dairy with excellent legs and shoulder assembly – it’s easy to see why he scored overall excellent (Ex90) on Linear Appraisal at two years old and again at almost 7 years old. Ziggzags designation as an ELITE sire in 2021 is the crowning achievement for this this amazing buck.
Although Ziggzag’s dam, NC PromisedLand SIA Zesta, was not shown or put on milk test, both her litter mate sisters made ADGA’s Elite Doe list for their outstanding milk production with one being the dam of the all time high producing Nigerian doe, SG Sugar Moon V Zuzanna 4*M (Elite Doe).
His maternal granddam (Zippy) milked an incredible 1,600# in 305 days. His paternal granddam (Fluer) won 6 Best Udder awards in addition to 3 Grand Champions and 4 Reserve Champions.
Ziggzag’s first daughter retained in our herd, SG Cabochon ZZ Sierra Nevada 3*M, earned her Superior Genetics designation on her first lactation as well as junior Grand Champion leg at her first show when she was only 4 months old and another Grand Champion leg as a milking yearling. His second daughter in our herd, SG Cabochon ZZ Calliope 4*M, made the ADGA Elite doe list this year as a yearling first freshener milking at the 98th percentile.
