Fable’s Quads – Mini Alpine’s

“Fable’s Fabulous Four” get the award for the most colorful litter of the year. Each of these boys has a personality as distinct as their coloring. Fable (aka Trouble) is quite small for a Mini Alpine and these kids are 75% Nigerian so are great candidates as herd sires for a MIni Alpine herd looking for quality genetcis to bring their size down.

Fable is a beautiful doe with a stunning udder and high milk production. She has everything you want in a MIni Alpine with a proven pedigree to back her up. Fable’s dam is Carl B’s RP Novel *M VEEE 90 and her sire is Cabochon DJ Casanova *B out of Liberty Star Acres Annabelle 2*M who has the longevity we look for, scoring Ex 90 for the third time at 8 years old. Casanova has already proven his abiltiy to sire daughters with outstanding production and excellent conformation. He is sire to SG Cabochon CN Whatchamacallit 2*M “Libby” VEEV 90 who is a 1,200 pound milker in our herd and he has several daughters in other herds as well.

The kids’ sire, Cabochon SIG Marco Polo AI *B, excels in general appearance and dairy character. Marco’s dam, Cabochon Amelia 3*M VEEE 91,  is a beautiful doe with beautiful conformation and excellent production milking more than 1,100 pounds in her third lactation.

Marco is sired by the 2015 ADGA Spotlight Sale Nigerian Dwarf Buck, Heaven’s Hollow Sig Sauer. Sig Sauer’s dam, SGCH Wyojem Wendy Kiki (EEEE 91), is a Superior Genetics Grand Champion who has many outstanding accomplishments including:
-2012 National Reserve Best Udder
-2013 National Champion Nigerian Dwarf
-2014 Top Ten Milk Production
-LA of EEEE 91 at 8 years old

We will make the twp best bucklings availalbe as MDGA registered Mini Alpine herd sires and the others will be available as pets.

Lady Slipper’s Mini Alpine Twins

Lady Slipper freshened with buck/doe twins on May 19th, just a few hours after her sister, Lilac. It was fun having them freshen on the same day. The kids are second generation Mini Alpines and will be registered with the Miniature Dairy Goat Association (MDGA). We are sure the doeling will excel as a home milker and potentially a show goat as well. Lady Slipper is easy to hand milk and and a joy to have around the barn.

Mini Alpines are excellent homestead milk goats who average about 3/4 gallon of sweet, rich milk per day while eating only about a third of what a full size goat eats. They truly combine the best of the Alpine and Nigerian Dwarf breeds and are coveted by homesteaders wanting fresh milk and cheese.

Novel’s 2021 Mini Alpine Triplets

Novel delivered triplets on February 27th , one day short of the leap day delivery she had last year. I love the look of these kids and would love to see them go to a home that is interested in showing in the Miniature Dairy Goat Association virtual shows.

In addition to being show quality, these girls will be great family milkers. Mini Alpines average about 3/4 gallon of sweet, rich milk per day while eating only about a third of what a full size Alpine eats. They truly combine the best of the Alpine and Nigerian Dwarf breeds and are coveted by homesteaders wanting fresh milk and cheese.

Their dam, Carl B’s RP Novel *M (VEEE 90), scored an impressive Ex 90 on Linear Appraisal at only 3 years old with an Excellent in Mammary and Back. She has an exceptionally high rear udder and an excellent foreudder. Novel is an absolute sweetheart to have around the barn and is a joy to milk.

Their sire, Cabochon ZZ Sweet William *B , is out of a Superior Genetics VEEV90 doe and a VEE 90 buck. William already has a Superior Genetics Grand Champion daughter,  SGCH Cabochon Petit Sirah 2*M (VVEE 90)

These kids will be registered with the Miniature Dairy Goat Association as first generation Mini Alpines and will be eligible to participate in MDGA shows and milk testing. The buckling is available as a herd sire.

Novel’s Mini Alpine Triplets

Novel delivered Leap Day triplets on February 29th with an easy, fast birth. The kids were up and nursing in record time and have continued to thrive. We are so impressed with the buckling that we are planning to collect semen from him to use for Artificial Insemination in our own herd and for sale to other Mini Alpine breeders.

The doelings have bright futures as family milkers.

Their sire, Cabochon DJ Casanova *B , is a handsome buck who scored an 87 on his LA as a yearling with an “excellent” on his front legs and took 1st place in two rings at the 2017 Boon Companions buck show in Missouri. His daughters have done very well in the show ring including Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion wins.

These kids will be registered with the Miniature Dairy Goat Association as first generation Mini Alpines and will be eligible to participate in MDGA shows and milk testing. The buckling may be available for sale as a herd sire after collection.
