Cabochon CN Whirlwind Romance delivered twin blue eyed doelings on April 17th – just in time since I had to fly out of town for work the next day. Whirlwind had an easy birth and is doing a great job taking care of her girls.
Whirlwind earned her first Reserve Grand Champion win last year as a senior kid. Since she is a young yearling first freshener, we may wait until next year to get her back into the show ring.
We are expecting these girls to have lovely udders courtesy of their sire, Aubrey’s Acres Phan Boy. We are very happy with the udder structure of his other daughters in our herd.
Kidding season is always exciting, but it’s even more of a thrill when you have a Superior Genetics doe bred AI to a Champion buck with 11 Grand Champion wins, 4 Best Buck in Show awards and the grandson of the legendary Twin Creeks BH Bay Watch.
Sierra finally delivered on this exciting match on April 16 with a single large buckling that is built just like his daddy – power and width throughout.
Sierra (SG Cabochon ZZ Sierra Nevada 3*M) is an exceptional young doe who milked 831 pounds as a yearling first freshener! We expect her to milk over 1,200 pounds as a three year old. Sierra also excels in the show ring having already earned two Grand Champion wins. And did I mention she received the ADGA Superior Genetics designation as a first freshener?
We are offering this buckling as a herd sire for $800.
Petit delivered pretty little blue eye twins on April 6th. She went into labor right as I was finishing up milk test so Kati watched over her but Petit did just fine and didn’t need any help at all.
Petit earned a Grand Champion win as a dry yearling and her dam, SGCH Carl B’s OH Champagne *M, is a finished permanent champion who earned her Superior Genetics award on her very first lactation and last year scored 90 on Linear Appraisal at only 3 years old.
These kids’ sire, Cabochon DJ Casanova *B, brings udder quality and proven conformation to this breeding. Both his dam and his sire’s dam have received “Excellent” scores on their mammary systems with his dam, Liberty Star Acres Annabelle 2*M, scoreing EX 90 on linear appraisal.

Bubbly’s dam, SGCH Carl B’s OH Champagne *M, earned her Superior Genetics award on her very first lactation and at only 3 years old, she finished her permanent championship and scored 90 on LA.
This doeling’s sire, Cabochon DJ Casanova *B, brings udder quality and proven conformation to this breeding. Both his dam and his sire’s dam have received “Excellent” scores on their mammary systems with his dam, Liberty Star Acres Annabelle 2*M , scoreing EX 90 on linear appraisal and milking more than 900 pounds. We have already retained two of his daugters and they have both earned their Grand Champion Jr. Doeling leg.
Dolly delivered triplets, a doe and two bucks, on March 7th with the same style and grace she puts into everything she does. This is Dolly’s seventh freshening and she just gets better every year. These kids have a pedigree that has been proven in the show ring, at Linear Appraisal and on the milk stand.
Their sire, Cabochon XY Prosecco, has Superior Genetics awards on both sides of his pedigree and has strong dairy character with great angularity and openness. Their dam, Liberty Star Acres Annabelle 2*M (EEEV 90) “Dolly”, excels in the show ring, conformation and production. Her 2017 daughter SG Cabochon ZZ Sierra Nevada 3*M, has already earned two Grand Champion wins and a Superior Genetics designation after her first lactation where she milked over 830 pounds as a yearling first freshener!
Stormstruck’s litter was one of our most anticipated kiddings this year and she exceeded all of our hopes with these gorgeous quadruplets delivered on March 8th. The pedigree on these kids is packed with Superior Genetics top and bottom. It’s rare to find kids with this much proven performance behind them.
On their maternal side, both their dam and grand-dam have earned ADGA’s Superior Genetics designation with their dam also being a permanent champion with an LA score of VEEE 91! On their sire’s side, the sires dam and grand-dam are both Superior Genetics does with the sire’s dam being a permanent champion with an LA score of VEEE 90.

Toffee delivered a colorful pair of doelings on March 18th with an easy, unassisted delivery and is proving to be a very attentive mother.
Toffee is a very long, dairy doe who earned Reserve Grand Champion as a junior doeling. Since this is her first freshening, we are waiting to see what her numbers will be for milk production.
The kids’ sire, Cabochon DJ Casanova *B, brings udder quality and proven conformation to this breeding.
Libby exceeded all expectations by delivering an amazing set of quadruplet doelings on March 4th. As a first freshener, she didn’t have a lot of room for all those kids to get positioned properly for birth so I had to do a bit of rearranging to help things along. Once all the kids were on the ground, Libby took over like the star performer that she is. The strength of her milking lines really shines through. Even though she is only a first freshener, Libby is making enough milk for all four kids which isn’t much of a surprise given her pedigree.
Glory delivered a pretty pair of blue eyed doelings on March 8th with an easy, unassisted delivery and both kids are thriving under her care.
We are expecting these kids to have excellent general appearance and strong dairy character. Highlights in their pedigree include: Glory was awarded a Superior Genetics designation in 2016, making the list for the top 15% of all Nigerian Dwarf does in both production and type. Their sire’s dam, CH The Schifsky’s TLC Farm Faith, earned a Linear Appraisal score of EEEE 91 at 10 years old proving her longevity and superior mammary.
Doeling #1 is tentatively retained and Doeling #2 is sale pending.
Josehine delivered triplets on March 4th. She had an easy birth and mom and babies are all doing well. This is a repeat breeding ( Dynamo Falcon Ziggzag (VEE 90) x Cabochon PB Josephine 2*M) and we are once again very pleased with these kids. All of Josephine’s babies have been spoken for and are pending sale to their new homes.
