Trinket’s Quadruplet Bucklings

I was super excited about this breeding and had planned to retain a doeling, but Trinket decided to bless us with quadruplet bucklings instead. I guess she thought I needed help with reducing the number of kids I retain. Or maybe she wanted to give someone else the opportunity to have a fantastic new herd sire instead!

Cabochon PR Trinket 3*M is a an amazing milker producing 1,168 pounds with 6.3% butterfat as a first freshener. She started this lactation with an exceptional 5.2 lbs on her first milk test at only 18 days fresh.

Trinket has a beautifully wide rear udder arch (35), a long foreudder (35) and a good medial (23). Trinket is a joy to milk with long (35), wide (45) teats. Both Trinket’s dam and sire’s dam are Superior Genetics does who have proven themselves with Grand Champion wins in the show ring and with award winning performance on the milk stand. With her PTI21 of 126, I expect Trinket to be awarded her Superior Genetics designation as well once ADGA’s NG system issues are resolved.

The sire to these boys, Cabochon WS Ibn Battuta *B, is an incredibly dairy young buck. His phenomenally soft dairy skin, open rib spacing, tight front end assembly, and beautiful angularity made him a keeper from birth. Ibn’s dam, GCH Cabochon Amelia (VEEE 91) is a beautiful doe with excellent production milking over 1100 pounds. Ibn’s sire’s dam, SGCH Wyojem Wendy Kiki (EEEE 91), is a Superior Genetics Grand Champion who has many outstanding accomplishments including: 2012 National Reserve Best Udder, 2013 National Champion Nigerian Dwarf, 2014 Top Ten Milk Production, and LA of EEEE 91 at 8 years old.
