High Tide (aka Zoe) is all about production and is the best milker in our herd. As a yearling first freshener, she produced 1,086 lbs in 319 days. ( Her first there milk tests were 4.3, 4.6 and 4.2 pounds-as a yearling!) Her second lactation she produced 1,329 lbs in only 295 days putting her in the 98% for the Nigerian breed. She is currently on an extended lactation with incredible staying power. She is still milking over 3 lbs per day at 405 days and 1,783 lbs so far! Zoe’s udder is incredibly soft and milks down like a dream.
High Tide combines pedigrees proven in the show ring, Linear Appraisal and Production. Both her dam and sire’s dam are permanent champions and Superior Genetics designated does with LA scores of VEEE 91. Her dam, SGCH Carl B’s Stormstruck 2*M (VEEE 91), is the complete package with proven conformation and production milking more than 1,000 pounds. She has scored EX 91 on her Linear Appraisal twice and and is a Superior Genetics Grand Champion (SGCH).
Her sire’s dam, SGCH Carl B’s OH Sweet Champagne *M (VEEE 91), is a Superior Genetics Grand Champion who appraised “Excellent” on her mammary system twice in a row. She also milked more than 900 pounds on her second lactation with an average of 7% butterfat.
